| Requirements: | Supply List Sewing Machine Thread, Pins, Scissors, Rotary Cutter, Sewing Ruler. There are two irons available with an ironing station in the classroom. However, some people may prefer to bring their own iron and small portable ironing board. |
| Instructor Bio: | Marcia Opien is a Duluth native and resides in Lakeside with her husband Bill of 39 years and her rescue dog, Shelby. She graduated from UMD with an education and art degree in the 70's. Marcia retired a few years ago from ALLETE after a 33 year long career as an IT professional. Since retiring, she now has time to return to sewing quilts, clothes, purses, aprons and homemade gifts for relatives, friends and charities. Marcia loves to sew and shares her enthusiasm with everyone she meets. She encourages all to challenge themselves and take the time to sew with the Marcia NO fear, NO failure, NO frustration philosophy. In other words, have FUN. |
